Clearview Cares
The Clearview Institute believes in supporting the community. That is why we lend
a helping hand to a variety of worthwhile organizations, providing pro bono surgical
procedures, consultation and financial assistance.
Sick Kids Program
Clearview Institute is establishing a program designed to help children who would
benefit from refractive surgery. Working in conjunction with the Hospital for Sick
Children in Toronto, Clearview Institute will perform surgical procedures not covered
by government assistance, one day each month for qualifying candidates.
Mid-Autumn Ball
Clearview Institute is a proud sponsor of the Mid-Autumn Ball, benefiting health
initiatives in the GTA - a charitable event that has been organized by the Scarborough
Chinese Outreach Committee for over a decade. The majority of monies for this year's
event will benefit The Scarborough Hospital as well as Markham-Stouffville Hospital.
Additional support will also be provided for community programs, including scholarships
and bursaries for health care professionals and student volunteers, family physician
information exchange forums and community health fairs.
International Project In Itambe, Brazil
As part of a Rotary Club initiative, Clearview Institute is involved in international
projects that help those in need. Currently, we are lending a helping hand to a
community hospital in Itambe, Brazil. We provide old glasses, medical supplies,
equipment and training to the citizens of the region, including farm workers and
low income families striving to make ends meet.
SightFirst
Clearview Institute is proud to support SightFirst, an organization that distributes
spectacles to people who can't afford them as part of their commitment to eliminate
blindness around the world. We encourage all our patients to deposit their old glasses
in a jar located in our reception area. We in turn, donate these glasses to the
Lions Club, the organization behind this worthy cause.
